Square Enix has finally announced a release window for the PS4 version of Rise of the Tomb Raider. PS4 fans will have to wait until “Holiday 2016” for Lara Croft’s next adventure – a whole year after it comes to the Xbox platform. Prior to the announcement, it wasn’t known how long Microsoft’s hold on Tomb Raider would last. A popular theory was that the exclusivity would last about 6 months, putting the game in the Spring 2016 window. Square Enix also stated that the Steam and Windows 10 versions of the game will be available in the beginning of next year. Crystal Dynamics will develop all versions of the game.
Rise of the Tomb Raider was first revealed at E3 2014 and later confirmed to be a timed exclusive. Microsoft will be publishing both the Xbox One and Xbox 360 versions of Tomb Raider which are scheduled to launch on November 10, 2015.
