We’ve been keeping our eyes on ‘Vampyr‘ for sometime now, over here at Enthusiast Towers. It’s not that we’re scared of vampires or anything, just that we’re big fans of developer DontNod (in fact I’m surprised they haven’t taken out a restraining order against my fellow enthusiast Andrew Gonzalez, the way he constantly professes his love for ‘Life is Strange‘ and the French developer).
Following on from the success of ‘Life is Strange‘, the developer is now crafting an action RPG where you play a vampire in Victorian era London.
Having shown they can tell a compelling narrative with varying outcomes, DontNod are now pushing themselves even further with ‘Vampyr‘ set to feature skill trees and even more variety in the results drawn from your interactions.
The game looks gorgeous so far, and with ‘Vampyr‘ using Unreal Engine 4 it should move just as good as the screenshots look.
‘Vampyr‘ will release on Xbox One, PlayStation4, and PC sometime in 2017
