Splinter Cell is one of my favourite gaming series of all time. I love the stealth action and puzzle-solving nature of the games. While we have yet to see an entry from the franchise show up on this generation of consoles, it is now possible to play a Splinter Cell game on your Xbox One. Splinter Cell: Conviction is now backwards compatible. The announcement was made via Major Nelson’s Twitter account –
Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Conviction is coming to Xbox One Backward Compatibility today (it is also on sale for 50% off in this week's @Ubisoft publisher sale) https://t.co/qPMRNrLoTQ pic.twitter.com/mDtB6INELk

If you don’t already own the game, you can pick it up as part of the Ubisoft sale on the Xbox Marketplace. It is currently available at half price, meaning you can pick it up for just $9.99.
Here’s the official description as well as a trailer for the game –
For years, Sam Fisher has been off the grid and on his own, chasing his daughter’s murderer. But the trail leads to the last place Sam wants to see again: Washington D.C. Now Sam must work with old friends he can no longer trust, forced to save a country he no longer serves. For unless he can stand against both a vast, faceless enemy and the shadows of the past, he’ll never know what happened to his daughter – or himself.
