Assassin’s Creed has been making all the right moves recently. A few months ago saw the release of Assassin’s Creed Origins to great reviews. This month Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: India is part of the Games with Gold program (you can download it for free right now if you have an Xbox Live Gold subscription). A few weeks ago we brought you the news that Assassin’s Creed Rogue was getting the remaster treatment and coming to Xbox One. Well, now it appears that Assassin’s Creed III may be making the move to Xbox One as well. The game has received a PEGI, Pan European Game Information (basically the European version of the ESRB), rating for an Xbox One version. Now a studio wouldn’t go through the expense of getting a game rated without having a title to release which suggests that the game is coming out on the system. However, the rating summary for the game says that it was released yesterday (15th February).
We will be keeping a close eye on this and let you know as soon as we know what the whole situation is. Interestingly, if Assassin’s Creed III does come to Xbox One then the only game in the series that won’t be natively on the system will be the original game (though you can play that through backwards compatibility).
