Darwin Project, a Battle Royale infused with survival elements is now free to play on Xbox One. The game tasks players to be the last person standing while braving the elements. Unlike typical games in the Battle Royale genre, there isn’t a force field trapping players in over time. Instead, there are quadrants that will occasionally fill with hazards throughout matches. On top of that element, players must also build items to survive. If you’re traveling across the cold terrain, you’ll need to create a fire to generate heat. Darwin Project features gameplay that will please fans of the genre, but also provides a unique experience absent from titles like Fortnite and PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds.
Another interesting thing about Darwin Project is the game’s focus on Mixer integration. People watching streamers can alter their favorite Mixer personality’s gameplay experience. It’s a nifty feature that another layer of immersion in Darwin Project.
According to Scavengers Studio, players who purchased Darwin Project before the free to play transition will be rewarded with some items.
